We’re looking for a qualified Director of Partnerships & Community Development to extend our reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships. Our ideal team member will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, and help us build new relationships with highly engaged community partners, including but not limited to; post-secondary education institutions, non-profits & industry associations. Highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded community builders, committed to learning, equity, and belonging.
Objectives of this role
- Managing both our existing partnership pipeline and developing new business opportunities
- Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities, partnerships & relationships
- Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term business development pipeline in accordance with targets
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegate tasks that achieve strategic goals
- Motivate the team, track performance, and report metrics
Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to review & refine strategy
- Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals aligned with strategies, and lead and facilitate presentations
- Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, business development processes, structure, and best practices across the company
- Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or management is great AND at inqli, we value experience and competency so please don’t hesitate to apply if you have the experience and skills but not necessarily the formal education
- Successful track record in B2B business development & negotiation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working experience with sales techniques focusing on relationship development (ie: question-based selling and/or other)
- Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
